To insure this high quality, SNAP is working closely with the outgrowers of the company. SNAP manages 3 washing and drying stations. Two are located in Gedeo Zone, in Chelelektu and Kochere woredas (districts). The other one is in Guji Zone, at Nensebo (West Arsi). SNAP is preparing coffee lots very carefully and the company is often recognized for its work. Different coffees from SNAP won international prices.
The washing station is located in the village of Chelbessa, precisely in Danche hamlet. It is included in Gedeo Zone, in Gedeb woreda (district). The station is at more than 2000 m and was recently established by SNAP company. SNAP selects nice red cherries from 476 outgrowers, who are living just around Chelbessa village and cultivate small plots of land. Coffee is growing under semi-forest, well covered by shade trees and not far from some family cropping, as bananas. SNAP built here fermentation tanks done with ceramic and 164 drying beds. 100 are dedicated to washed coffees, 64 are for natural ones.
