Background
At PROHCAS, we are coffee-producing families who, with pride and dedication, cultivate every bean from its origin in the highlands of Honduras. We work in more than four regions across the country, where high-altitude coffee grows under shade in agroforestry systems that respect biodiversity and protect our natural resources. Our organisation was born with the purpose of establishing business relationships based on trust, transparency, and a commitment to quality, as well as to the planet, by promoting responsible practices in the production of ecological and organic coffee.
This project brings together women producers from Honduras who, through their work, are redefining the role of coffee growing in their communities: not only as an economic activity, but as a tool for autonomy, dignity, and a future. Every single bean of this lot is the result of difficult decisions, risk, perseverance, and a profound relationship with the land. They are women who have built, often from scratch, sustainable, family-based production models rooted in the local area. Soy Mujer represents a fundamental step: for the first time, a container integrates production led entirely by women, environmental sustainability, and direct access to international markets. But above all, it represents a network. A community that grows together, that shares knowledge, and that demonstrates that the future of coffee is built starting with people.
Our packaging is made of 100% recyclable plastic.
