This month we bring you UGANDA:

Known to be one of the birth place of the  coffea canephora (aka robusta), Uganda is gaining a place in the specialty coffee market thanks to the high quality of its arabicas.  Some regions in Uganda have the right combination of soil, altitude and climate to produce excellent coffee.  This month we will bring you  to the "Pearl of Africa" - as many Ugandans like to remind you. Get ready to land on the shore of the Lake Victoria and Albert, cross one of the source of the river Nile or climb the green slopes of the Mount Elgon, where arabica plants thrives and offer an important source of income for the livelihoods of the Ugandan coffee farmers

However, as stated on our supplier's webpage,  Uganda has never been a favourable place to be a coffee farmer. However, specialty coffee is slowly on the rise. With incredible growing conditions and the help of some of the industry’s most renowned developmental entrepreneurs, we are helping to breathe new life into the region of Zombo in the northwest of the country.
