Romina established the Bochesa washing station in 2018. The company invests in this station to ensure finely traceable and ever more qualitative lots. It also sets up social and environmental projects for the producers from whom it collects the cherries. Agricultural training courses are provided. Recently Romina has also developed a project to install beehives in Bochesa, to enable the farmers to produce their own honey and diversify their income. Finally, in order to protect the environment, Romina is distributing seeds to replant shade trees above the coffee trees in this area.
This coffee is collected by Romina PLC from several small producers. This family business, based in Addis Ababa, is currently run by Michael Girma.
